The Toyota Tacoma is Toyota’s mid size pickup truck for the North American market. Toyota started building the Tacoma in 1995 as a compact pickup. In 2005 Tacoma’s dimensions were increased to meet changing market demand for a larger pickup with more performance and capability.

The Tacoma access cab offers both the 2.7l 4 cylinder and the 4.0l 6 cylinder engines. The 2 wheel drive models have the choice of the 4 speed automatic or 5 speed manual transmissions. The access also offers prerunner options with 2.7l 5 speed manual transmission or the 4.0l with either a 6 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission. 4 wheel drive versions are available with the 6 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission.
The double cab offers a prerunner version with a regular or long bed version. Both come with the 4l V6 and 5 speed automatic transmission. The regular double cab 4 wheel drive also comes with a standard or log bed option. The standard bed comes with a 4.0l V6 with either a 5 speed manual or 5 speed auto transmission. The long bed has the 4.0l V6 and 5 speed auto transmission as standard equipment.
the x runner is Tacoma’s sport truck version. comes with the 4.0l V6 and 6 speed manual transmission as standard equipment.
